<headline>A user-friendly can opener </headline>
<textblock row="1" col="1">For decades, a small piece of bent metal has functioned as a tin opener in thousands of households worldwide. Now, Butterfly sets a new standard with its fresh design interpretation of a small kitchen utensil.<br></textblock>

<textblock row="1" col="1">A tin opener is a kitchen utensil that everyone uses and which we can never find when we need it. We have now given it a shape and a color so that it no longer gets lost among knives, forks and spoons. The idea behind the tin opener’s grip function is a butterfly nut. It incorporates a multi-grip design because we all hold tin openers differently. </textblock>

<textblock row="1" col="1">Today we can more or less buy and design our ideal lifestyle according to our dreams. Conceptions like individuality, single culture and striving to be different are all conspicuous values in the western world. Also in the world of design. I have designed Familia, for get to-gethers and parties – the long table and the great feast. Familia should challenge the conception of the very ideal of the perfect lifestyle. To me Familia expresses a kind of energy, warmth and recognition – values which I believe are also worth striving for.”</textblock>

<headline>Innovation and redesign </headline>
<textblock row="1" col="1">New traditions require new design. The modern fusion kitchen draws inspiration from the entire world and mixes different cooking traditions together. That is why Odoardo Fioravanti has redesigned a series of traditional kitchen utensils. Fusion Cooking consists of a palette, ladle and tongs, useful both for cooking and serving. <br><br>Three products with different functions, but with the same expression and form. The tongs easily grip the food, the palette easily turns any meat and vegetables, and the asymmetrical ladle is good for serving. <br><br>Fusion Cooking is a design for people who like to be surrounded by beautiful things – including in the kitchen. <br></textblock>
</fact>
<fact>
<headline>Odoardo Fioravanti explains:</headline>
<textblock row="1" col="1">“My approach towards design is to observe people’s actions and behaviour, although they constantly change. This is the basis for any new concept. As to Fusion Cooking, I had noticed how people mix different food cultures together and I decided to develop some utensils aimed at the fusion kitchen. I wanted traditional utensils to have a new form, which had not been seen before – as if they had evolved and some new species had been created. The name symbolises both the inspiration behind the design, as well as the fusion in the combination of materials.” </textblock>

It is summer and the air is completely still. The sky is a brilliant blue and as always I am drawn when I see a plane in the sky". With an almost childlike joy I can permanently forget both time and place and soar up into the wide blue yonder".<br><br>This is how Plane came about.
